My Story
Josie Hack: Early Years Consultant
My passion for Early Years education ignited 30 years ago when I enrolled my eldest child in Preschool. This experience inspired me to become deeply involved in the sector. I took on the role of chairperson, where I gained invaluable experience in supporting management and staff to deliver high-quality care and education to the children in our community. I also developed expertise in navigating Ofsted inspections, fundraising, and ensuring the safety, well-being, and nurturing of every child.
Driven by this experience, I pursued and achieved a Level 3 qualification in childcare and education, laying a strong foundation for my subsequent leadership roles, including becoming Manager of a Preschool. My professional journey includes managerial experience in diverse preschool settings, coupled with the completion of my Early Years Initial Teacher Training at Marjon University in 2019. This combination of practical leadership and advanced training equips me to provide expert guidance and support to early years settings, ensuring every child receives the best possible foundation for lifelong learning.
My commitment to excellence in early years education was demonstrated in 2022 when my team earned an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rating. This achievement reflects our rigorous preparation and unwavering dedication.
Building on this success, I was selected to serve as Mentor and Expert for the Department for Education’s COVID-19 recovery program. Through comprehensive training, I provided strategic guidance and support to early years settings, empowering them to enhance educational provision and achieve positive outcomes for children. This experience was exceptionally fulfilling, especially the collaborative nature of the consultation process. This is when the Embrace Early Years Consultancy was born.
As an Early Years Consultant, my primary focus is to provide expert support, guidance, and empowerment to managers, owners, practitioners, and their teams. I specialize in curriculum development, Ofsted preparation and adding impact, ensuring that each child within these settings receives the best possible start to their learning journey and has the opportunity to flourish.

Ofsted Inspection Assistance
I am dedicated to helping you prepare for your Ofsted inspection, ensuring that you shine during the inspection. I will visit your setting, provide tailored guidance and support to meet all the required EYFS standards. Together, we can create an environment that reflects excellence and promotes learning.
Overarching Ethos and Curriculum planning assistance.
In our consulting session, you will gain valuable insights and strategies tailored to your unique needs. We will explore effective practices that foster an enriching learning environment for children, ensuring their growth and development. Together, we'll create a collaborative approach that includes input from all staff members, making sure that your vision is seamlessly integrated into your setting. This comprehensive support will empower your team to thrive and inspire the children in your care.
Adding Impact throughout your setting.
Creating an enriched environment for children is essential for their growth and development. By focusing on the 3 I's—Intent, Implementation, and Impact, you can significantly enhance their learning experience. This approach not only inspires children to become lifelong learners but also prepares them for the challenges they will face beyond their early years. Embrace these principles to facilitate a nurturing and motivating environment for your little ones and staff.
Consultancy Fees
My service packages are designed to meet your unique needs. The initial meeting to discuss your requirements will last approximately 3 hours. The first 30 minutes are free of charge then the charge is £85 per hour. I will write you a report of the outcome of the meeting and areas that require improvement. You can then choose weekly or fortnightly visits of 2-3 hours a rate of £85 per hour, depending on how long you require my assistance.
